Need more to be excited about? Well, have I got some news for you. Some fans were disappointed to learn that the remaining seasons of Game of Thrones would be shorter than the 10 episode slates we’ve enjoyed until now. I get it, I get it. Game of Thrones is an epic story, and there are a lot of plotlines to wrap up. Cersei is on the Iron Throne. Daenerys, armed with her dragons and a huge fleet, is coming for what’s hers. Jon Snow is the King in the North. And let’s not forget about the White Walkers. (Oh yes, let’s definitely not forget about them!) Reaching a satisfactory ending when you have fewer episodes at your disposal is a tall order.

But in the run-up to the Game of Thrones season 7 premiere, we’ve discovered an even more exciting bit of news: extra-long episodes. What?!

That’s right. Even though the upcoming season will only have 7 episodes, the finale is going to be over 80 minutes long. I know, right? That’s the length of a feature film! Talk about ending with a bang. Or fire and blood, as the case may be. And if that weren’t enough, signs are pointing to season 8—slated to have only 6 episodes—moving toward that super-long runtime in general. If true, that’s the equivalent of a new Game of Thrones movie every week.

For now, look forward to the new season, set to premiere on July 16 at 9PM EDT on HBO.
