Art Roundup: Spotlight on Storm

Welcome to another Art Roundup, a column in which we spotlight a different comics character each week with some great fan-created art, crafts, costumes, toys, and more. This week we’re celebrating Storm, one of the most well-known members of the X-Men and Marvel’s stable in general.

I’m gonna get this party started with a pair of super cool custom LEGO figures by Jeff Reid. You can buy these.

Australian artist Jess Robley did a little of this and that to Storm’s design. Not gonna lie, I’m loving that hair.

Adorable little hand-crocheted Storm amigurumi by Belgium-based Cynthia Swinnen. And yes, you can buy one.

Larry Smith would like to remind you that you are not limited by your gender in your cosplay options! Photograph by Felix Wong. This is one of my favorite crossplays ever.

Italian artist Alessia keeps it simple, and the results are still fab.

This is the first instance of photo-manipulation on this column. Simon Williams imagines Star Trek’s Nichelle Nichols as Storm.

Rounding things off with this awesome character re-design concept art by Ogi Grujić of Toronto-based Igneous Art.

As always, feel free to drop in links to other Storm fan creations below, as well as your suggestions for future character spotlights.
