Get excited, Amazon has a discounted Kindle program! Always with the latest and greatest, Amazon has announced a trade-in program for users of their Kindle line. While trade-in is an existing program with Amazon, this promotion provides participants with 25% the price of a new Kindle and a gift card equal to the appraised value of your existing Kindle, provided Amazon accepts your existing Kindle after it is evaluated.

How to Get Your Discounted Kindle

To receive your discounted Kindle, you’ll need to fill out a three-survey about your existing device, ship it to Amazon for free, and simply watch your account for your gift card and 25% off credit. Damaged device? Fear not. Amazon appears to accept even the oldest devices with defects. For example, if you have a 1st Generation Kindle that no longer holds a charge and has a cracked screen, Amazon still expects to provide you with a trade-in value of $5 and the 25% off a new Kindle. On the flip side, if you own an 8th Generation Kindle Oasis that is in perfect condition, you can expect a gift card of up to $75 plus 25% off the new device. Return of device and appraisal can take up to twelve days depending on where you live, but Amazon tracks your packages so you can keep an eye on the process.

Ready for your discounted Kindle? Choose from Kindle, Kindle Paperwhite, Kindle Oasis, or the Kindle of Kids Bundle.

In the fine print, Amazon notes this is a limited time promotion. “Qualifying trade-ins must be completed on Amazon.com by 9:00 am (Pacific Time) September 28th, 2018 and sent to us within 7 days from trade-in submission.” Amazon also reserves the right to end the program at any time and the 25% discount will expire in November, so be sure to act quickly if you plan on taking advantage of a discounted Kindle. Find additional and important details in the Terms and Conditions.
