Erica Ezeifedi, Associate Editor, is a transplant from Nashville, TN that has settled in the North East. In addition to being a writer, she has worked as a victim advocate and in public libraries, where she has focused on creating safe spaces for queer teens, mentorship, and providing test prep instruction free to students. Outside of work, much of her free time is spent looking for her next great read and planning her next snack. Find her on Twitter at @Erica_Eze_.

It’s been an interesting experience coming up with content as part of Book Riot’s Editorial team. We’re constantly thinking of not only what will do well on the site but also what we think the reading world could do with more of (and, of course, we hope these things aren’t mutually exclusive).

Now, I’d say we’ve gotten pretty good at predicting what our readers will respond to. Around 80% of our best-performing posts were either written by one of our editors or started off as an idea by an editor. My colleague Danika Ellis has been keeping a keen eye on the most popular posts, and I think the data presents an interesting picture, so I thought to look at a few of our best-performing posts, or post topics, to see what it says about our readers.
