Literary Stocking Stuffers: Bookish Buttons Edition
When I was in graduate school, I carried a Vera Bradley messenger bag that my sister gave me, and to the flap, I pinned literary buttons: a Shakespeare quote; some lit mag swag I got from AWP; and when I was ready, an HRC button. Buttons are ways to express ourselves in miniature, in small, understated ways, and luckily for bookish types, there are a great many bookish buttons to be had.
It’s never too early to start thinking of fun literary stocking stuffers. Bookish buttons are perfect little add-ons for any gifting you do this holiday season (for yourself or for others). The best part? Buttons can be affixed to anything from ribbons on a wrapped present to a Christmas stocking hung by the chimney with care. Plus, like bookmarks, buttons are budget-friendly. Happy shopping!
