The trailer for the Dumplin’ movie has finally dropped and we cannot control our chill. Seriously, we’ll be standing in this pose all day:

Based off of Julie Murphy’s bestselling novel, Dumplin’ centers on Willowdean Dickson (Danielle Macdonald), who calls herself fat and is proud. Despite ridicule she gets, she has always been comfortable in her skin, even with her mother being a former beauty queen (Jennifer Aniston) obsessed with fitness and appearance. When Will takes a job at a local restaurant, she meets Bo (Luke Benward). The attractive former jock immediately takes a liking to Will and she is at a loss as to why. So what does Will do to get her confidence back? She enters her mother’s Miss Clover City Beauty Pageant.

Netflix has recently hit the sweet spot with book-to-film adaptations lately, with To All the Boys I Loved Before, The Kissing Booth, and hopefully Dumplin’ will soon be added to their ranks.

And the icing on top of the cake? This movie is going to achieve exactly what Insatiable couldn’t and wouldn’t. The trailer alone does more for body positivity than the entire first season. Just like Lara Jean Song Covey has been a positive representation for Asians in the media, Willowdean is going to be that person for plus-size rep.

The film is scheduled to be released on December 7 on Netflix.
