The Scholar’s Library
Let’s say you are a scholar of Japanese history and have a private collection of more than 10,000 books. Let’s also say that you happen to be married to an architect and you guys have a little property rural New York.
Well, you’d be Carol Gluck, and this would be your personal library:
This two-story library’s footprint is about 20 feet by 20 feet and adjoins the Glucks’ house in the Catskill Mountains.
The top floor is for reading and writing, and the second floor houses the book collection (it is windowless to prevent light damage).
How would you like to read and write here?
