Guess what, book lovers? It’s time for another round-up of some of the buzziest book news happening in the world right now. This week, we’ve got lots to cover, including several exciting cover reveals to share with you, some book award announcements, and adaptation news. So, let’s get right into it.
Here’s the cover of The Star Society, a new historical fiction spy thriller from Gabriella Saab. This novel is set in the 1940s and follows two sisters: Ada Worthington-Fox is an actress who escaped war-torn Arnhem to become a rising star in Hollywood; meanwhile, her sister Ingrid fled to Washington, D.C. and has become a private investigator. Follow their story when the novel is published by Harper Muse Books on January 6, 2026.
Cosmopolitan revealed the cover of Tigest Girma’s highly-anticipated sequel to Immortal Dark. You can also check out an early excerpt from the upcoming novel, entitled Eternal Ruin. Be sure to preorder your copy, because the first print run in the US and Canada will be a deluxe limited edition, featuring stenciled sprayed edges and special designs. It’s available to preorder now, and it will be out on November 4.
Speaking of exciting cover reveals, here’s the cover of E. Lockhart’s We Fell Apart. The new novel from one of BookTok’s favorite authors is a companion novel to We Were Liars, “interconnecting the story of the Sinclair family with a new ensemble of personalities.” Lockart told PEOPLE, “This new book offers new characters, new family tragedies and a huge new love story, while opening up the world I built in the first two books. I hope my readers will be completely wrecked.” This one will also be out on November 4.

Willa Fitzgerald—who played a major character in Reacher season 1—has officially joined the cast of Regretting You in an unspecified role. Regretting You is a film adaptation of bestselling author Colleen Hoover’s novel of the same name. Allison Williams (Get Out) and Mckenna Grace (Ghostbusters) are also set to star.
Here are the finalists for the 2025 Anisfield-Wolf Book Awards! This is the 90th year of the awards, which honor “books that have made important contributions to our understanding of racism and our appreciation of the rich diversity of human cultures.” The winners will be announced on April 10.
Last but certainly not least, Disney+ has renewed Percy Jackson and the Olympians for a third season. This renewal comes ahead of the release of the show’s second season. “From the moment Percy Jackson and the Olympians debuted, it was clear this series had struck a chord with fans of all ages,” Disney Branded Television president Ayo Davis said in a statement. “With season two set to premiere this December, we’re thrilled to announce that Percy’s journey will continue with a third season. Huge thanks to our incredible cast and creative team, our partners at 20th Television, and our visionary and talented producers who continue to bring Rick Riordan’s world to life with such depth and imagination.” The third season of Percy Jackson will adapt the third book in Rick Riordan’s series, The Titan’s Curse.
