Deepali Agarwal has a Master’s in literary linguistics, which means that every person she’s ever known has, at some point, asked her to ‘edit a thing’ for them-- ‘just see if it reads okay?’ She doesn’t mind, because she believes that the world can be fixed one oxford comma at a time. Deepali lives in Delhi, the capital of India, where cows are sacred, but authors and poets exist and write brilliant things. She works as an editor with OUP India’s School ELT division, where she moves apostrophes, looks up pictures of cats, and talks about children’s books for eight hours. The rest of her day is spent reading, thinking about Parks and Recreation, and wondering if there exist jobs for English majors that pay more than peanuts. Twitter: @DeepaliAgarwal_

Marvel has just dropped the first, much-anticipated trailer for Avengers 4 today, and it’s grim and eyeball-grabby, just as expected. The movie will be called Avengers: Endgame and the trailer features an emotional Iron Man, Thanos’ hand, a desolate Thor, Black Widow, Bruce Banner, Hawkeye, Ant-Man, and Beardless (sad-face) Cap.

The movie released in April, and will take off from the end of Infinity War, where Thanos eliminates 50% of the earth’s population with a snap of his fingers. Fans have been theorizing about what the ending means for the MCU for eight months now, and while we know that Captain Marvel will feature (and hopefully save the day), we don’t know if the superheroes who turned to dust at the end will all be revived. Will it be reversed? Will there be time travel, with Doctor Strange missing from the scene?

One of the major fan theories doing the rounds proposes that the original Avengers, left alive at the end of the third installment, will die in order to bring back newer members, such as Tom Holland’s Spider-Man, for whom a second movie is already in the works. Ant-Man and the Wasp, which also released earlier this year, ends in the same timeline, with Scott Lang surviving Thanos’ snap while inside the quantum realm, so he may be one of the key plot elements now. This new trailer shows the remaining Avengers trying to come up with a plan to save the world.
