As a newly engaged book nerd, I’ve been spending quite a bit of my time reading wedding-related parts of the internet. I don’t know yet what I’m going to want for my wedding cake (beyond that I want it to be delicious) but I DO know that I love all of these.

wedding cake with a hand piped poem by ee cummings 'i carry your heart'. done by 'Bella e Dolce', northern Michigan area bakery

This lovely tone-on-tone cake features the hand-piped text of EE Cummings’ legendary poem,  i carry your heart with me. This beauty is the work of Bella e Dolce, a northern Michigan area bakery.

The Giving Tree wedding cake

This Giving Tree cake melts my heart. I don’t think it’s intended as a wedding cake, but all you have to do is change the initials.

Game of Thrones wedding cake by The Cake Mamas.

Game of Thrones wedding cake. I repeat, Game of Thrones wedding cake.

Cat in the Hat wedding cake from Cakes by Suzy.

Here’s a Cat in the Hat wedding cake. I desperately hope this couple had rhyming vows.

Dune sandworm wedding cake by Jana*s Fun Cakes

Here in the “least likely” category, we have a Dune cake. Nothing says romance like sandworms, am I right?

Books wedding cake by Jana*s Fun Cakes.

This one’s a little different than the others. Instead of being an interpretation of a particular book in some way, it’s just a stack of books that the couple loves.

Which of these bookish wedding cakes is your favorite? Would you ever choose a bookish wedding cake for your own big day? If you have – let’s see it!
