Bookish Wedding Planning :: The Decorations
And the wedding planning continues…
Last week, I told you about my (fake-for-now) wedding, and started the planning with The Invitations. This week, let’s talk decorating. First of all, decorating ANYTHING is fun time, but decorating a Ceremony of Luuurv is seriously fun. Especially when you have no budget (reference fake wedding). BUT even if you do have a budget, the delightfulness of many of these things I’m going to show you is that they can be done by you. Yes my pretties… DIY is the name of the game.

Should we follow good ol’ Fränk’s advice and start with the cake to set the theme of our wedding? (Full Book Cake via Vanilla House Patisserie; Wedding Cake with Bookish Toppers via The Simplifiers.)

Be sure to set the table; don’t forget the bookish garlands! (Book-page table runner via Audrey Hannah Photography; book garland via The Sweetest Occasion.)

And how to tell your guests at which tables to sit? Choose your favorite books, and arrange the tables by the titles, of course! Secure copies of those titles, and slip the seating assignments into them like bookmarks. Trés cool. (Both centerpieces and seating markers via The Wedding Wire Blog.)

Flowers schmowers — try these bouquets and boutonniéres made of newspaper and book pages instead. (Bouquet via Rock and Roll Bride; Boutonniéres via Brookelyn Photography.)

And we mustn’t forget to get dressed shall we? (Dress via Katie’s Rose Cottage Blog; Nail how-to in the original French, & here in English.)

Now it’s time to walk down the aisle to the alter OF MY DREAMS! (Via Jessica Claire Photography.)

And don’t forget to send your guests off with a little sumpin’ sumpin’ at the end of the night. (Wedding Favors via The Knot.)

Lest you think we’re done with all this wedding madness you’re, well… mad. Come back next week for the finale!
