START HERE, Vol. 2 Write-In Giveaway: What Author Are You an Expert On?
Here at Riot Central, we’re in the middle of a Kickstarter campaign to publishing the second book in our START HERE series, designed to help you read your way into authors you’ve always wanted to try but haven’t known where to start. The series is inspired by our popular Reading Pathways feature, in which Book Riot contributors identify the 3- or 4-book sequence that will help you dive into an author’s intimidating body of work.
We know we have the best readers on the bookternet, so we want you to be part of the process! Pick an author you’re passionate about and whose work you know well, and write a sample chapter for START HERE, Vol. 2 on your own blog. Check out these posts for a good idea of what we’re looking for.
Include the following in your post: “I’m entering Book Riot’s START HERE, Vol. 2 Write-In Giveaway” (hyperlink included), and fill out the form below to finalize your entry. Entries should be no more than 800 words in length and must be submitted by 11:59pm Eastern on Sunday, May 12, 2013.
We’ll pick the 3 best entries and re-post them here for the Book Riot community to vote. The winner will receive a $50 gift card to the book retailer of their choice and will be considered for publication in START HERE, Vol. 2.
