From Eric Hoffer Award-Winning Author Lindy Miller, comes an uplifting novella about the magic of Christmas, the strength of family, and finding your path where you least expect it. This enchanting and inspirational read will have you both laughing and crying while it warms your heart. This festive Christmas treat is perfect for fans of Trisha Ashley, Jenny Hale, and Sheila Roberts.

“A delightful holiday read highly recommended for romance readers seeking a blend of life-changing encounters and love.” ~Midwest Book Review

Christmas isn’t fashion editor Roxanne Hudson’s style, but when she finds herself snowed in with a handsome stranger, she might just discover the magic of the season after all.

Roxanne Hudson does not like the holidays. They come with too many family obligations that take her away from work as a rising fashion editor in New York City. But this Christmas might be Grandma Myrtle’s last, and Roxanne’s parents want her to spend the holiday at the family cabin in the Green Mountains. So, she decides to brave the long commute—and the wilderness—to spend Christmas in Vermont.

After an uncomfortable call from her on-again, off-again ex-boyfriend starts the trip off badly, Roxanne is blindsided by a blizzard on the snowy mountain road, where the last thing she hears before losing consciousness is sleigh bells. When she’s rescued by Mark Foster, a handsome park ranger who’s the exact opposite of everything she always thought she wanted, Roxanne seeks her grandmother’s wisdom and discovers an uncanny connection that could be a sign of what her life is really meant to be.

“This was the perfect story to put me in the Christmas spirit! If you're looking for the perfect book to get you excited for Christmas, pick this one up!” ~Katie, NetGalley

“This was the cozy winter love story that I want to read and watch all season long.” ~Crystal L, NetGalley

“I loved this book! All the coziness and warmth of a Christmas romance, whilst also touching on some important societal issues. The little touches of magic were adorable, and I can just picture this as a Christmas movie!” ~Sara H, NetGalley

“[Sleigh Bells on Bread Loaf Mountain] had me smiling from beginning to end. It had everything I was looking for in a holiday romance…a book filled with Christmas details, a love story of how opposites attract, making decisions about following your dreams while exploring new exciting adventures, the importance of spending time with family while you still have them….and a main male character that immediately makes you crush on him! Ranger Mark Foster was definitely the highlight of this book!” ~Cheri, Goodreads

“I really liked the feeling created by the book - to be snowed in in the mountains, a house in the middle of the forest, a fireplace, chopping wood, and a dog by your side. Nothing could be better than Christmas in a cottage with a mountain man.” ~Elina, NetGalley

    I love when a girl gets a reality check before she gets married. Roxanne did good getting grid of her dead weight and thinking of what's good for her.

    It's a sweet story with really good characters especially grandma. And I guess I would have to give the dog Ⅱ Ⅱ spot. This story is a This story is a very simple story of what you think you want may not be what you really want. It's a short story but the author puts it into perspective and concise Will not be in a very long story at that. It takes a good author to do that.

    I received a free ARC of this book and am leaving a voluntary and honest review.

    Once I got into Sleigh Bells on Bread Loaf Mountain, it read quickly. I felt it took me a little to be prepared enough for it, though I can't exactly pinpoint why.

    The consistent mentions of the modeling and fashion worlds and their negative impacts were both important and well-done, though when they were first mentioned, it felt a little out-of-place. We see Roxanne go on a rant about the modeling world and its effects on women especially, but I didn't feel like that issue was set up with her character until then, so a long rant about the topic was a little random at that point. Later on, because Roxanne had already discussed the issue once, a repeat of her rant made more sense because it flowed with her character. I think in the beginning she could have made a few comments to show her stance before delving deeper later.

    I liked the writing style and the characters, though the love-at-first-sight-but-with-sleigh-bells was questionable. The love-at-first-sight trope is typical and it fits with the story, but I was operating under the assumption that she had a concussion the entire story, thanks to the constant ringing of sleigh bells. That... fantastical element threw me off, and I could have done without it. And on a personal note, I understand the book is about Christmas, but the constant (flirting) jokes about Santa went on for too long. There's a limit to how many Santa jokes I can take in less than 200 pages, and this book crossed that line.

    Sleigh Bells on Bread Loaf Mountain was a fun, quick, surface-read for when I had time and needed something to do. But it made a lot of sense with the characters and the plot, and the romance was (mostly) believable as well.

    Do you want to spend this evening in a warm and cozy environment with an amazing Christmas book in your hands? Then grab Sleigh Bells on Bread Loaf Mountain, turn on the christmas tree lights, make yourself comfortable in the armchair and get ready for an exciting journey to the Green Mountains!

    The book is read in one breath, easily immerses a reader in the Christmas atmosphere, it is a beautiful winter fairy tale that makes to wish to visit it, to live it. And those recipes at the end of the book are just treasures! Really! I will definitely try to bake them.

    I enjoyed reading the book so much. I even heard the bells ringing myself, such pleasure!

    I will recommend the book to all my bookish friends who love well-written romance and Christmas, and even to people who don't like Christmas holidays, maybe they will change their mind after reading this amazing book.

    I am pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed this book. It is a Hallmark holiday movie in written form. Roxanne, an up and coming fashion designer who lives in NY, travels to Vermont for the first time in seven years to see her family because her grandma's health is declining. Roxanne then gets in a car accident where a handsome ranger saves her.

    Then all the amazingly wonderful things that occur in a Hallmark movie ensues:
    * snowed in one cabin
    * decorating Christmas trees
    * delivering presents to young children
    * the return of an ex boyfriend
    * an undeniable spark between two people that you find yourself truly routing for

    I don't think it gets better than this. My notes kept stating..."Of course that happens or of course he does or of course she did". I would definitely watch this movie and I think most Hallmark fans would too.
