This action thriller was full of details of how spy things work, something I know nothing about. It was interesting to learn about it, though at times, I wish some of the acronyms had been defined. Most were and didn't really impact the plot. I think the fact that the author worked in the field, it brought a level of credibility that an outsider wouldn't be able to create.

Loved the romance between Cole and Maddox and the fact that they were able to reflect on their past and come to terms with everything that had happened. Neither was completely at fault or without blame, like real life.

I enjoyed the author's writing style and it kept my interest to the (mostly) satisfying ending. There are some dangling questions and some of them were for main plot points, which went unanswered. I don't normally like to read cliff-hangars, but I guess if you like the story, characters, and writing enough, you'll continue with the series.

Overall, I would recommend this book if you enjoy spy stories with high stakes, a hot romance, and cliff-hangars don't bother you.

What a pleasant surprise. Picked this up on a whim and found one of the best books of the year.

This is an edge of your seat read. I started this early afternoon and only put it down to cook dinner. A clever story with elements that carry over to the next book and characters you know you can get attached to. The villan of this book is taken care of, dastardly plot foiled, but the biggest threat is still out there. Bonus: the first dozen chapters of the next book are included.

Cole and Maddox are fabulous as the H/h. She's badass and that's more than fine with him. He's badass, too. Interestingly, she's in the power position in this story and often, Cole is left scrambling to catch up. Good for him for not feeling emasculated by this circumstance. It makes (re)establishing trust between them much easier. By the time their HEA rolls around, their relationship is enviable.

I follow so many authors. I am very hesitant to add to the list. Not this time. I can't wait to finish Gideon and Willow's story in August, and then whoever comes after that. Thank you, Ms. Rushdan for a really great read.

This story is easy to follow. No editing errors or drag-you-down drama. There is graphic violence and well choreographed action scenes.

Intriguing storyline with descriptive writing that draws the reader into each scene. Realistic procedures, actions and reactions. Believable characters with distinct personalities. Thought-provoking dialogue.

What I found difficult to believe was the low cost of the bio-hazard. Also the idea that the Headquarters is not completely wired for audio and visual? No one thought to remove the assassin's keycard or anything else that could be used as a weapon? The lead agent Maddox does not have security systems at her home?

The author could have fnished this story with the discovery and apprehension of the mole. Reader's could be easily enticed to read about the further adventures of Madddox, Cole etc.

No desire to re-read this story. I may be interested in other works by this author if the story is a stand-alone.

This was the first book of the author's that I have read and I'm hooked. I loved her attention to detail, putting myself right IN the scene. The action scenes were action-packed and fast-paced, I found myself rereading a couple of scenes so I could appreciate EVERYTHING that was happening in that moment. And the procedures and policies that the agents followed were believable. The romance parts in it were nice and well-written but I wasn't here for the romance. I love suspense thrillers and this book met my expectations. Be warned, there IS violence, but it does come with the territory...nothing that put me off or was over-the-top in my own opinion. I will definitely continue this series!!

This is my first book by this author. It took awhile for me to feel the connection between Maddox and Cole. I did cry over their past. We get a happy ever for them, but are left on a cliffhanger. Who’s the mole? We know his code name but not who he is.

I don't think there's supposed to be anything real. I would recommend this book. I wish Juno had books in Kindle Unlimited. I would really LOVE, LOVE to read all these books. I read at least two books a day. Afraid I can't afford, to pay for two books, of even one, a day. But, I love your writing!! It's very fast pace and lots of action. Wouldn't dream of skipping a head. Several acronyms that I couldn't guess as an Australian reader and I had to look them up. There's a HFN, the main plot was resolved, but there is a loose end remaining untied that obviously leads into the next book. Worth reading.
