The comics crowdfunding world is large and difficult to keep track of; each week, we highlight a few fundraising projects that are worth your time, attention, and maybe your dollars!

(1) The Eighth Day: The end is nigh—or is it?

An (apparently?) PoC woman discovers the ability to change the world after God spends seven days creating it. It’s also got two women on the creative team. SOLD.

Recommended pledge: $10 gets you a hard copy and PDF of The Eighth Day #1 (limited to 20 people, then it goes up to $15 for this reward)

(2) The Tiny Report: Micro-Press Yearbook 2014

This is a zine about small presses in comics, and the Kickstarter is small (and fully funded already), simply to offset printing costs. I like supporting indie things and I like learning about small presses, so yep this is in my wheelhouse.

Recommended pledge: $7 gets you a copy of the zine! (Retails for $5 + $2 shipping)

(3) Paths: A Supernatural 44-Page Journey

This is compared to Quantum Leap, has great art, and involves an ancient mystery. Oh, and there’s a free 22-page preview so you can make sure it’s for you.

Recommended pledge: $16 gets you a signed print copy of the double issue, along with a PDF. (This is a limited pledge; after the first 25 backers, the price goes up to $20).

(4) Speculative Relationships: Volume 2

Awwwww yeah sci-fi romance comics (or as we here at Panels call them, kissing books!!)

Recommended pledge: $10 gets you DRM-free PDFs of both Volumes 1 and 2.

I was just tweeting the other day about my desire for a Henry VIII comic. This isn’t that (it’s about 5th century warriors from Denmark), but I’ll take historical comics where I can get them!

Recommended pledge: $25 gets you an autographed hard copy of the comic.
