Title: Advertising Sales Manager (permanent, full time)

Office location(s): Portland, OR; Vancouver, BC; relocation stipend available

Work-from-home jurisdictions: Illinois, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Virginia; if position offered, applicant must reside in a work-from-home jurisdiction by start date

Base salary: Portland, OR – $31,236.00 USD; Vancouver, BC – $35,928.00 CAD; work-from-home jurisdiction base salary adjusted for local cost of living

Commission: 7.0% of calendar year invoiced revenue up to and including $200,000.00 USD; 8.5% of calendar year invoiced revenue greater than $200.000.00 USD

Approximate first year base salary + commission: Portland, OR – $79,236.00 USD; Vancouver, BC – $95,928.00 CAD (assumes USD to CAD exchange of 1.25)

Benefits: Gainshare; 401k/RRSP; Health; 160 hours annual PTO

Job Description

A successful Advertising Sales Manager will have an interest in books, comics, and reading. Upon successful completion of training, they will assume management of existing accounts generating $600K+ in annual revenue. Through their efforts, they will increase the annual revenue from these existing accounts. Moreover, they will develop new business from assigned existing leads, new inbound leads, and their own prospecting efforts. Lastly, they will collaborate with sales, editorial, and operations on product offerings and positioning.

The Advertising Sales Manager will have access to sales and operational assistance to maximize revenue generation efforts. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Account management
  • Assume set of leads, qualify the leads, and turn qualified leads into accounts
  • Prospect new leads
  • Contribute to sales forecasts
  • Understand advertiser goals and develop advertising campaigns to achieve those goals
  • Attend relevant conventions and events representing Riot New Media Group
  • Develop relationships with key stakeholders and position Riot New Media Group and its products as the first of mind for consideration
  • Position RNMG products as best-of-breed for digital B2C advertising initiatives
  • Communicate campaign results to advertisers

Qualifications and Requirements

  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Knowledge of general business productivity tools
  • Prior sales or account executive experience
  • Track record growing repeat business and developing new business
