Giveaway: What Does QUIET Mean to You?
At least one-third of the people we know are introverts. They are the ones who prefer listening to speaking, reading to partying; who innovate and create but dislike self-promotion; who favor working on their own over brainstorming in teams. Although they are often labeled “quiet,” it is to introverts that we owe many of the great contributions to society-from van Gogh’s sunflowers to the invention of the personal computer.
What does quiet mean to you? What does it look like? In this giveaway sponsored by Susan Cain’s Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can’t Stop Talking, submit an original image that depicts what you think about when you think about quiet. It can be a photograph, a painting, a drawing, a collage, a work of word art, or, well, just about anything as long as it’s yours.
Three finalists will receive prize packs containing a signed copy of Quiet, a calendar/poster, bookmarks, stickers, and a reading group guide. The grand prize winner, selected by readers’ votes, will also receive a $50 gift card to the book retailer of their choice.
Here’s the skinny:
- Submit your original image using the form below by Friday, March 1 at 11:59pm Eastern.
- We’ll select the 3 best entries and post them on Book Riot on March 4th.
- Voting will be by Facebook “likes.” The post with the most likes on Thursday, March 7th at 11:59pm Eastern will win.
