There and Back Again

(An acrostic poem)

There and back again, but where do we start?

Here in the Shire, you know this part.
Ever the wanderer, but he’s not lost…
Rally companions, they’ll succeed at any cost.
Each traveler is tested,
And destiny manifested.
Now watch him slay
Dragons, spiders, and his fears – nothing will get in his way!
Bilbo, Balin, Bifur, Bofur and the rest
All show courage, and do their best.
Challenges arise, but every foe
Knows for sure – the band will bestow
All types of woe. From
Gandalf the Grey, advice will come
And future generations will surely know
Integrity, honor and love can show.
… Now Frodo will pick up the quest!
