Wish, hope, and sacrifice goats as I might, the On The Road movie inches closer to release. Yesterday, the first official poster was released. Here it is:

I don’t know if the movie is going to be bad. It probably won’t be. It also probably won’t be good. It will probably be, as are most movie adaptations of classic literary fiction, just kind of OK. And this is in a way sadder and more disappointing than if something turns out to be an interesting failure.

Which leads me to this week’s question: If you could forever ensure that one book would never, ever be made into a movie, what would it be? And why?

Happy weekend, all!
