Drunk Literature Mixes a Tasty Cocktail of Books and Booze
In the grand tradition of getting tanked, filming yourself and your friends talking about shit, and posting it on the internet, two young women have created a YouTube series called Drunk Literature in which they (wait for it) get tanked, film themselves and their friends talking about shit (in this case, books!), and post it on the internet. There are illustrations and music and lots of hilarity. And it’s fantastic.
In the first episode, they sum up the entire Sookie Stackhouse series in under 6 minutes.

And then there’s a whiskey-fueled musical rendition of Catcher in the Rye.

And the Bard in a bottle. Y’all know Hamlet was a player.

Big thanks to Ellen and Megan, the creators of Drunk Literature, for sending this our way. You can keep up with Drunk Literature at their YouTube page and on Twitter @drunk_lit and Facebook. I’m told there’s a 50 Shades bit coming soon, and you don’t want to miss that!
