Team Riot shared our great big list of favorite books of 2014 a few weeks ago, and now we get to reveal the results from our reader poll!

554 Riot readers submitted their picks for best books of 2014, naming 416 unique titles. (We allowed each reader up to three selections because let’s be real, who can ever pick just one?) You can see the full list here. After narrowing it down to books that got at least 20 votes, we came up with this set of 12. Here we go!

1. Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mandel (110 votes)

2. All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr (77)

3. The Martian by Andy Weir (76)

4. An Untamed State by Roxane Gay (37)

5. (tie) The Bone Clocks by David Mitchell and Everything I Never Told You by Celeste Ng (33 votes)

7. Yes Please by Amy Poehler (31)

8. (tie) The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry by Gabrielle Zevin and We Were Liars by E. Lockhart (27)

10. Bad Feminist by Roxane Gay (26)

11. The Southern Reach Trilogy by Jeff VanderMeer (24)

12.Fourth of July Creek by Smith Henderson (21)

What do you think? Did your favorites make it? Any surprises?
