Brenna Clarke Gray

Staff Writer

Part muppet and part college faculty member, Brenna Clarke Gray holds a PhD in Canadian Literature while simultaneously holding two cats named Chaucer and Swift. It's a juggling act. Raised in small-town Ontario, Brenna has since been transported by school to the Atlantic provinces and by work to the Vancouver area, where she now lives with her stylish cyclist/webgeek husband and the aforementioned cats. When not posing by day as a forserious academic, she can be found painting her nails and watching Degrassi (through the critical lens of awesomeness). She posts about graphic narratives at Graphixia, and occasionally she remembers to update her own blog, Not That Kind of Doctor. Blog: Not That Kind of Doctor Twitter: @brennacgray

Welcome to Comics Fetish, your weekly round-up of cool comics-related stuff to buy and wear and gift and share. This week, let’s look back at some of the pieces that got the biggest reaction in 2014.

Rock the infinity scarf for warmth: Marvel Comic Infinity Scarf. Because fall is here and you need to cope with sub-zero temperatures with super heroic strength and single-mindedness.

Vowing to be more organized in 2014?: A Peanuts-themed perpetual calendar, that way Snoopy and the gang can brighten your (or a pal’s) day every day.

My favourite jewelry of 2014: Never be lost for words again with a speech bubble necklace.

And how about that resolution to take better notes?: Got something to say to someone, or a little reminder to leave somewhere for yourself? Say it with a dinosaur. Specifically, say it with a T-Rex as it appears in the second panel of Ryan North’s hilarious Dinosaur Comics.

Probably the item I found that you dug the most!: I am really into these jeans that make you look like you live in a comic book. They’d be great for cosplay, but also just for making life feel a little deeper in the gutter.
