The Best Beach Reads of All Time
It’s been a minute since we shared a big list of beach reads to keep you equipped for the season, so we decided to make it count, calling upon the expertise of our staff and contributors for a list of the 50 best beach reads of all time. We expanded our thinking beyond the books we personally love–though you’ll find those listed here as well–to consider the books we’ve literally seen on the beach, the it books of summers past, and classics of the beach read canon.
9 of My Favorite Queer Beach Reads
Today, Book Riot has announced our picks for the Best Beach Reads of All Time. So, I’ve picked out a few of the queer books included there to highlight, along with seven more of my favorite queer beach read recommendations. We’ve got M/M, F/F, and nonbinary romance; sapphic cozy fantasy; a bisexual YA Sliding Doors story; a trans thriller; and more. (Though my picks do lean more towards the sapphic.)
Book Club Books at the Biggest Public Libraries
This month, I thought to look at what the biggest libraries in the country were reading in their book clubs. The ALA, where I got my library size information, categorizes “big” for libraries in a few different ways—there are categorizations by circulation, holdings, or library visits. I chose to look at the size of the population plus the collection expenditures. I think this statistic has the added bonus of letting us know a little more about the community that the library is nestled in.
BRIDGERTON Season 4 is Coming in 2026 — Here’s Everything We Know
Bridgerton fans, you’ve been waiting patiently for more news about season 4 of our favorite Regency romance series, and it’s finally here. Netflix has announced that Bridgerton will be returning for its fourth season... in 2026. Sure, maybe we were hoping for a 2025 release date, but we’re also just happy to have a timeline! Let’s take stock of everything we know about the upcoming season so far.
The Best New Book Releases
Now for the new books out this week, there’s the campy The Grimoire Grammar School Parent Teacher Association by Caitlin Rozakis, the zesty Along Came Amor by Alexis Daria, and the sweet and studious All-Nighter by Cecilia Vinesse. And, for the Petti LaBelles (see: me), there’s The Science of Revenge: Understanding the World’s Deadliest Addiction–and How to Overcome It by James Kimmel, Jr. Meanwhile, mystery lovers will appreciate When Sally Killed Harry by Lucy Roth, and graphic novel afficionandos, Day of the Dead Girl, Volume 1 by A.J. Mendez, Aimee Garcia, and Bobby Curnow Belén Culebras.
