Researchers Uncover Two Hidden Pages in Anne Frank’s Diary: Critical Linking, May 17, 2018

Sponsored by Chuck Palahniuk’s Adjustment Day, on sale now from W. W. Norton.

Anne Frank tried to cover up two pages of writing in her diary that contained dirty jokes and a description of what she referred to as “sexual matters,” pasting brown paper over the pages in her red-and-white plaid notebook.

But researchers here have revealed the hidden text using new digital technologies, the Anne Frank House and two other Dutch cultural institutions announced on Tuesday.

There are so many great books out there, it’s hard to narrow down what to read. But since it’s Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month, why not try a book or two by an Asian woman? We’ve got a list of 17 science fiction and fantasy books by Asian women that you really need to check out, especially because they’re so well-written and cinematic that we hope they get turned into movies sometime soon.

My Students

My 8th graders are full of unique personalities. My students walk in knowing that I care about them and will do what I can to help them succeed. They appreciate the toughness of the class, not at first 🙂 , but see why I push them to do their best all the time.

With our school being a Title 1 school, I have many students that come from low-income families.

I want to ensure that all of my students have a fair, equal, and significant opportunity to obtain a high quality education and reach, at minimum, proficiency on challenging state academic achievement standards and state academic assessments.

My Project

These books, “The Hate U Give” and “The First Part Last”, are 2 amazing reads that both my students of higher level and lower level reading will fall in love with. These books, deal with situations that many of my students see on a daily basis. Students will be able to develop a personal connection with the characters and be able to see how these characters preserved when everything was against them.

Under $200 will fund this classroom. Can you spare a few bucks?
