Quite the reveal.

Steve Brown was working his shift at Olsson’s Bookstore in Washington, D.C. in the spring of 1985 when he heard his name come over the store intercom. There was a call waiting for him.

When Brown picked up the telephone, he heard a voice ask, “Steve Brown? This is Steve King. Okay, you know I’m Bachman, I know I’m Bachman, what are we going to do about it? Let’s talk.”

True story! How Stephen King was outed as Richard Bachman.

Officials unveiled the Book Garden, a giant academic complex on Wednesday. At roughly 65,000 square meters (about 700,000 square feet), the center has several movie theaters, science halls, classrooms, a restaurant, a prayer room and whole a lot of literature. On its roof is a green park area for reading.

This mega-book-complex in Iran was built to encourage Iranian children to be “active and creative through modern methods and equipment” (more than 400,000 titles are available for kids alone).
