8 Amazing Wonder Woman-Inspired Knitting and Crochet Projects

Hattie is a comics scholar and obsessive reader from Brighton(ish) but living in Glasgow, Scotland where she is working towards a PhD in Canadian Studies, more specifically about Québécois comics and politics. Mostly she reads comics about other peoples’ lives because she’s nosy like that. She is an enthusiastic, if not experienced, seamstress and could win Olympic Gold Medals if only Procrasti-Sewing and Procrasti-Baking were recognised sports. A not insignificant percentage of her free time is spent worrying about whether her cats like her as much as she likes them. She is resident Quebec Comics Monkey over at Graphixia where she likes to lay claim to being more Canadian than she really is. Twitter: @HattieK

If you’re anything like me then you left your Wonder Woman screening desperate to tell the world about how much you loved the film and just how great Diana is.

Luckily for us there are literally dozens of craft projects out there for us Wonder Woman fans. In fact there are more than enough to keep us busy until we next get a woman-led superhero film. These range from the slightly trickier feat of a jumper, to simple quick knits for the new knitters amongst us like a mug cosy. Why not grab some yarn, knitting needles or a crochet hook and get crafty.

I’ve rounded up eight of my favourite projects below, let me know in the comments about any others you find!

Wonder Woman Sweater by Natalie Bursztyn

I am utterly smitten with this gorgeous sweater. I am also an incredibly slow knitter, so maybe if I start this know I’ll be ready to cosy up and feel like a superhero this winter!

Wonder Woman Bracelet and Tiara Set by Jenny Wren

This would make the most perfect gift for your best geek. Or even just for you to keep in your desk at work for those days where you need a bit of help feeling like you can kick butt.

Diana Prince Socks by Becky Greene

I do not have words for how much I LOVE these socks from Becky Greene. Perfect for a bit of subtle workplace cosplay, or you can go all out with the classic Wonder Woman colour way shown as the alternative.

Wonder Woman Scarf by Konchan le Me

This would be so cosy in the winter and would make a great gift for a Diana loving friend (or yourself).

WONDERful WOMAN Blanket Buddy by Amy McC Anderson

ARGH this is so cute! I am more of a knitter than a crocheter but this pattern has convinced me to get out my crochet hooks and get going on a gift for a dear friend’s toddler.

Wonder Woman Knitted Doll by Nerd Knitting

This is a great intermediate level knitting project to try and the result is super cool. I think that all the kick-ass ladies in my life might get Wonder Woman dolls for their christmas gifts this year.

Wonder Woman Coffee Cozy by Enchanted Ladybug

I thought this was super cute and would be a great crochet project for taking on holiday this summer. You could make a set for the whole family!

Wonder Woman Fingerless Gloves by Ducky Dame

This is my summer holiday craft project. I definitely need these for the autumn cycle to work.
