To find the most beautiful libraries in each state (and a couple bonus libraries at the end), Business Insider looked at past and current award-winners as judged by the American Institute of Architects and the American Library Association awards, and relied on our own judgment for states who have never won.
Make sure to give these a look on your next road trip.

While swearing may sound uncouth to some, the researchers see it more as an honest form of expression—not anger or malice—and determined that the more curse words that come out of a person’s mouth, the more truthful he or she is likely to be, as swearing itself is a form of candid talk.

Phew, 2016. We can’t remember ever being so happy to see a year end, even as the next brings only uncertainty. Readers borrowed 196 million digital books, an increase of 21% over 2015. Of the 678 million visits to library and school websites, readers borrowed more e-books (+16%) and audiobooks (+34%) from their local and school libraries digital catalog compared to last year.
As the technology gets easier to use and accessibility gets a little wider, these numbers aren’t entirely surprising to see. What I’d be curious to know is the median rates on borrowers, as well as the outliers. Are the biggest e-borrowers doing the bulk of borrowing?
