A Real-Life Hogwarts is Opening in 2017: Critical Linking, October 28, 2016

This Critical Linking is sponsored by the Unbound Worlds Sci-Fi and Fantasy Library Sweepstakes. Get details and enter here!

The four-day experience is modeled after the first Harry Potter book, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. Students will take part in a sorting ceremony, learn to play Quidditch, and take classes in Botany, Potions and Charms.

Missed your Hogwarts letter? You can go anyway!

…Scarlett Johansson will also be playing the 20s icon in a separate project called The Beautiful and the Damned. (Oh, and also, it should be mentioned that there’s currently an amazon series — Z: The Beginning of Everything — in which Christina Ricci stars as Zelda Fitzgerald, in the works for Amazon…

Zelda Fitzgerald is having a major moment, and I’m pretty here for it.

“The books will be shelved in Newark exactly as they are in Connecticut,” McGrath writes. “Not a window into Mr. Roth’s mind exactly, but physical evidence of the eclectic writers who helped shape it: Salinger, Bellow, Malamud, Kafka, Bruno Schulz.”

Philip Roth’s (apparently very dude-tastic) library is going to the Newark Public Library!
