When you play comic book characters as iconic as the Joker or the Hulk, it’s pretty hard to walk the halls of something like New York Comic-Con without being mobbed by fans. It’s hard, that is, unless you blend in with the crowd by donning a mask.

Plosky, the founder of the recently launched startup ComicBlitz, set out to meet publishers and introduce them to what is being dubbed the “Netflix of comics.” Plosky’s pitch: all-you-can-read digital comics for just $9.99 a month.

Another all-you-can-read subscription service is joining the fray, focusing on comics. (Call me when Marvel and DC sign on!)

To help revelers celebrate NYCC in style, the Brooklyn Brewery has rolled out their Brooklyn Defender, a red IPA with a super-powered persona.

The process of brewing the NYCC official beer–and of creating a character to go with it–is a lot more complex than you might think. Here’s to the intersection of two of my favorite things!
