Jenn Northington has worked in the publishing industry wearing various hats since 2004, including bookseller and events director, and is currently Director of Editorial Operations at Riot New Media Group. You can hear her on the SFF Yeah! podcast nerding out about sci-fi and fantasy. When she’s not working, she’s most likely gardening, running, or (obviously) reading. We’ve been scheming for months, and the time has finally arrived to announce The Heart Goes Last Fan Fiction Contest, in honor of Margaret Atwood’s newest book!

YES THAT IS CORRECT, we want you to write fan-fiction about Margaret Atwood’s characters. THIS IS NOT A DRILL. Head over to Wattpad to get all the exciting details, read through the rules (we are not joking about that word count limit), and then get writing.

Entries will be judged by Book Riot staff and Atwood herself (YES, IT IS TRUE). The top five entries will be read aloud at a special panel at Book Riot Live. (The panel will also be live-streamed but you should totally come in person.) And there are other prizes as well! So go get your copy of The Heart Goes Last and put on your writing caps — we can’t wait to see what you come up with.
