This post originally appeared on Panels, which is now Book Riot Comics

Our daily round-up of news around the comics space, from the gutters and beyond.

“To my fellow straight white guys, let me say this: You have been pandered to for your entire life. Nearly every piece of media you have ever consumed, from comics books to TV to cartoons, has been tailored made with you in mind as its primary audience.”

“Favorite webcomic – serial: Strong Female Protagonist by Brennan Lee Mulligan and Molly Ostertag.”

I am so excited that my favorite webcomic won an Autostraddle award! If you haven’t read it yet, you really need to.

“Call it the power of social media: every day, advocates of diversity, feminism, and intersectionality find their people on networks like Twitter. Librarian and editor Kelly Jensen is just one of the people who have not only found a community on social media, but also created a way to keep those conversations going. She is currently editing Feminism for the Real World (title subject to change in the editing stage), a non-fiction anthology with pieces from a wide variety of writers and illustrators on the subject of feminism.”

OH LOOK, it’s Riot staff Kelly Jensen! WOOOO!
