Our daily round-up of news around the comics space, from the gutters and beyond.

Okay guys. Let’s talk about Ant-Man for a second. We’ll have full coverage of the movie later, but I was lucky enough to see the movie on Tuesday, and let me tell you: it’s good, and it’s fun, and it doesn’t take itself too seriously. I genuinely enjoyed it; it’s a great origin story, and it’s so nice that it’s about one guy trying to redeem himself, rather than the grand scale of saving the world. I know there have been doubts about it, but it’s worth seeing!

“101 female illustrators from India whose work will leave you speechless.”

This is long (I kind of wish they’d done top 20 instead of top 100, just to be able to focus on each artist more), but it’s amazing.

“For every great writer I meet who is a fan, who knows the world of comics and is into possibly writing comics, there will be one that has no sense of the medium. And that’s fine – if you’re willing to learn more.”

Panels favorite Alex Segura talks about how to write comics.
