For LGBT pride month, DC Entertainment, which owns DC comics, has released a video featuring a short history of gay characters in its comics.

This seven-minute history of queer characters in the DC universe is well worth your time and attention.

But now that Lucasfilm and Disney have officially stated that the new “Star Wars” comics from Marvel will be considered canon, this latest storyline in “Star Wars” No. 6 by writer Jason Aaron could have serious ramifications for not only Han Solo, but other major characters.

Don’t read this if you don’t want spoilers about the new Star Wars comics (and, by extension, the new Star Wars universe), but suffice it to say: OMFG. OMFG forever.

“I had a few days feeling really depressed about this, and then people started to reach out,” he said. “I was really overwhelmed by all the people that want to help me.”

This story about a break-in at a comic shop has a happy ending, reminding us again that when we put our minds to it, comics people can be the best people.
