Our daily round-up of news around the comics space, from the gutters and beyond.
“Princeless chronicles the life and adventures of Princess Adrienne Ashe who fights evil with the help of her pet dragon. She is bold. She is brave. And, she is black!”
The first issue of Princeless is free for download for a limited time. I love this comic; it’s funny, smart, and diverse.
“Sure, we know what our favorite heroes and villains look like at their day jobs: Saving the world, trying to decimate it, etc. But what if they had normal lives the rest of the week—awkwardly riding elevators, using public urinals, playing in piles of leaves?”
Yep, Figure Fantasy is a book I’ll be checking out.
“I admit, when I was a wee little thing, I wanted Worf and Deanna Troi to get together on Star Trek: The Next Generation. After all, they seemed like the perfect mismatched pair: he the gruff warrior and she the gentle counselor. But when the two did date, it was painfully awkward to watch. There’s a good reason that, when Worf and Troi eventually got married, it was to other people.”
Yes. Yes to all of this. It’s SO AWKWARD to watch now.
