Our daily round-up of news around the comics space, from the gutters and beyond.

“It hurt to see so plainly that to Disney, people like me didn’t matter. My demographic was already giving them money anyway, with Disney Princess purchases. Even now, there’s no incentive to make more Marvel merch for women, because we already buy Brave and Frozen products.”

Yes, this is old, but I’m just seeing it now. And it’s worth reading!

“DC Comics is set to drop a bombshell—okay, more than a dozen of them—this August. After a successful run last June, the publisher will return to the World War II-era retro theme for its August variant covers, which will be featured in Aquaman,Batman, Green Lantern, Superman, Sinestro and more.”

These look cool, and I’m even more excited that they’re going to be a digital series!

“26-year-old Xing Yile, who calls himself a super fan of American science fiction films, has made a life-size model of the Hulkbuster armour used in the blockbuster film Avengers: Age of Ultron.”

Did we really doubt that something like this would happen?
