Off-Panel: April 3, 2015

Our daily round-up of news around the comics space, from the gutters and beyond.

“In a solemn ceremony held Thursday alongside the infinity pool at his Malibu estate, actor Chris Hemsworth reportedly deputized well-regarded local hunk Troy Richardson to assume all “Sexiest Man Alive” duties in his absence.”

Oh, The Onion. You are so very often my favorite thing.

“In a highly logical move, Leonard Nimoy’s son, Adam Nimoy, will direct For the Love of Spock, a documentary and tribute to the career of his late father. Zachary Quinto, the current reigning Spock, will narrate the film, which is planned to be ready for Star Trek‘s 50th anniversary on September 8, 2016.”

This is good and wonderful and makes me so happy.

“Not content with stealing the show in two Despicable Memovies and graduating to their own big screen adventure, Universal’s Minions will be conquering comics this summer with the launch of their own series of comics and graphic novels from Titan Comics.”

Yes, I’m excited about this, and no, I’m not ashamed in the least.
