Our daily round-up of news around the comics space, from the gutters and beyond.
“The National Air and Space Museum has taken 12-year-old humor and done with it what most kids can only aspire to. Yes, they really had someone up on an industrial lift mime cleaning Wonder Woman’s invisible jet and talked about the process of putting it on display.”
I’m not a huge fan of April Fools Day, but I absolutely loved this.
“Cartoonist turned publisher C. Spike Trotman has raised $65,000 on Kickstarter to publish The less Than Epic Adventures of TJ and Amal, a 520-page omnibus collection of E. K. Weaver’s queer romance web comic. The book is set to go to the printer in April.”
Web comics are still a little difficult for me to keep track of (I’m trying to get better!), so I was incredibly excited to hear about this.
“Recently fellow comic artist, and a good friend of mine, Wilfredo Torres lost his lovely wife Monica after a long battle with cancer. A group of us got together in Emerald City this past weekend and decided we wanted to do something to help a great guy and his family during a difficult time.”
We joke around a lot here at Panels, but on a serious note, this is a great way to grab some amazing art and also help a member of the comics community.
