Our daily round-up of news around the comics space, from the gutters and beyond.
“The artist behind the comic Questionable Content has fallen in the crosshairs—or should we say “the horsehairs”— of retail behemoth Walmart. The mega-retailer is demanding that Jeph Jacques “discontinue any and all use” of the walmart.horse domain, which renders at a tumblr and displays a horse in front of a Walmart store.”
NO WORDS. Just look at the picture and Jeph’s response, and have a good laugh. (Also, how many NEW people are visiting walmart.horse because of this? I did.)
“At least 20 new books—from novels for adults and teens to storybooks and stickerbooks for younger kids—will be released this fall to fill the gap between 1983’s Return of the Jedi and this December’s The Force Awakens.”
That’s a LOT of books, and some of them are indeed comics.
“In this reimagining of Homer’s classic the Odyssey, our hero Odyssia has just emerged victorious from the hundred-year war with Troiia, and what she desires more than anything else is to return home. Unfortunately for her, it won’t be that easy.”
Any one of these is a great reason to read ODY-C.
