Our daily round-up of news around the comics space, from the gutters and beyond.
“After impressing us last month with his custom-built radio-controlled Millennium Falcon, Star Wars fan Olivier C has given the Empire its due by transforming a quadcopter into a pretty ominous-looking (and -sounding) TIE Interceptor.”
You know with all the talk of drones, it was only a matter of time before this happened.
“First there were the variant covers — drawn exclusively by female artists — celebrating characters like Ms. Marvel and Unbeatable Squirrel Girl, and now MTV News can exclusively reveal the “Women of Marvel” initiative with Marvel Games, which will add multiple badass (playable!) lady characters to the Marvel gaming universe.”
News like this always makes me happy because it makes it clear that Marvel is taking women seriously as an audience. (Don’t know what variant covers are? Check out our new column Help a New Comic Reader Out!)
“Behold the wrath of an 8-year-old separated from his treasured comics. A foul-mouthed tyke tongue lashed the editors at an Indiana newspaper after they dropped his funny page favorites.”
Well, this kid clearly takes his comics seriously.
