Our daily round-up of news around the comics space, from the gutters and beyond.

“Chris Evans and Chris Pratt didn’t attend Super Bowl XLIX merely to root for their home teams and settle their friendly (and charitable) wager. No, the stars of Marvel’s Captain America and Guardians of the Galaxy also went to Phoenix to photobomb unsuspecting football fans.”

I really don’t need any more information than this. I already love it.

“It gnawed on me that I had this big, gaping hole in my resume, [Scott McCloud] said: a hefty, solid piece of stand-alone fiction.”

Comic giant Scott McCloud talks to the New York Times about his graphic novel The Sculptor which was excellent and amazing and the best comic I read in January.

“You can be sure that a part of [Image’s] success, and a part of their ability to create such amazing stories and characters is due to their commitment to diverse characters, including trans ones.”

Image Comics has been doing amazing things for diversity, and this piece about trans characters is on point.
