“Marvel comics made a movie about a talking tree and a raccoon awesome, but you haven’t made a movie with Wonder Woman.

Girls read comics too and they care.”

Eleven-year-old Rowan is basically my hero. She tells DC Comics, in no uncertain terms, that GIRLS LOVE COMICS TOO. Because we do.

“Start with graphic novels.”

Over at Forbes, Jordan Shapiro says that the way to get your young kids reading more is to introduce them to comics.

“The Millennials at the center of Zeroes share an auspicious birthday, which has blessed each one with a superhuman ability that makes their individual lives more interesting.”

A BIG author (Scott Westerfeld) is writing a book-book trilogy about teen superheroes. Or he’s having other people write it? That’s not really clear, but this will be big in the book-book world. Will it cross over to the comics sphere?
