FX is developing From Hell, a drama series based on the graphic novel by Alan Moore and Eddie Campbell, which was adapted into the 2001 20th Century Fox feature starring Johnny Depp and Robbie Coltrane. Don Murphy, who produced the film, is executive producing. David Arata (Children Of Men) will write the adaptation. The Hughes brothers, who directed the movie, are not involved.
There are about eight things vaguely like (and undoubtedly inspired by) From Hell on the air these days, but with Justified and Sons of Anarchy wrapping up, its understandable that FX would want to go down those well-worn cobblestones in hot pursuit of Ripper fever. [Deadline]

There are new images out in the wild showcasing the aesthetic of the upcoming Peanuts animated film. I think it looks terrific, retaining all the charm and nuance of Schulz’s line while adding some depth and texture for the 3D age. This is as good a time as any to remind you: When you’re watching the Peanuts Thanksgiving special, pay close attention to that outdoor dinner table and its surrealist shifts in perspective.
