“Patrick Fugit (Almost Famous, Gone Girl) has landed the lead in Cinemax’s new exorcism drama Outcast, from The Walking Dead executive producer Robert Kirkman. The supernatural horror project is based on Kirkman and artist Paul Azaceta’s comic series of the same name which hit shelves this summer. Joining Fugit in the cast are British actor Philip Glenister (Life on Mars) and youngster Gabriel Bateman (Stalker, Annabelle), while rising features helmer Adam Wingard (The Guest, You’re Next) has been tapped to direct the pilot produced by Fox International Channels.”
Patrick Fugit’s a great get. Now if only they could capture the horrific splendor of Paul Azaceta’s art on film. (Book be pretty.)

“Vado is also planning on making some small, but significant changes to make exhibiting at APE appealing, like offering larger table/booth spaces, and offering APE exhibitors the opportunity to exhibit at monthly “pop-up shop” events at his gallery, on the second Saturday of every month. He’s also mindful that he must re-establish APE in a new era of fast growing indie comics shows such as MoCCA in New York, CAKE in Chicago and Comic Art Los Angeles (CALA), which debuts in December. He also has no intention of turning APE into a “curated” show like T-CAF or Comics Arts Brooklyn (CAB) in New York, “I’m not built like that, I like the big tent approach. I want everyone to be included.””

“A tribute to Hajime Isayama’s hit manga about humanity’s fight against ravenous giants, “Attack on Titan The Real” will feature a roughly 49-foot statue Eren Titan and a 46-foot female Titan. According to Anime News Network, visitors “will witness the Titans locked in fierce combat from the perspective of Survey Corps members,” who in the series fight the giant humanoids beyond the city walls.”
Universal Studios Japan is prepping a fairly horrific monument to the wildly popular Attack on Titan manga and anime. If you’ve never seen the towering Titans before, imagine a huge naked dude. OK? Now remove all the skin. There’s your show.
