One way we pick stuff to work on here at Book Riot is to find little “reader problems” we have and then see if there’s anything we can do about it.

It’s hard to keep track of what interesting new books come out each week, so we do Fresh Ink. We love podcasts, but there wasn’t one that covered book news, so we did our own podcast. Cool book-related stories are all over the internet, but there’s no good place to browse them, so we did Book Riot News.

Recently, a new book nerd problem has popped up: book deals. As publishers and retailers are experimenting with flexible pricing, great deals on individual titles, storewide discounts, and other special limited-time offers are all over the place. And that “all over the place” is the problem. Unless you check/follow/subscribe to every publisher and every author and every retailers email/tumblr/twitter/facebook, you are going to miss good, cheap books.

So, to try to help with that, we’ve made Book Riot Deals: a place to submit and browse great deals on books and bookish things.

It’s pretty simple: just a list of links to recent deals that readers can up vote so that the most popular ones rise to the top. You can also submit a deal that you found, because while we will be paying close attention to deals, there will probably be some good ones we don’t find. Authors, publishers, editors, and other publishing folks are welcome to submit deals too. (We’ll moderate them to prevent spamming/flooding).

So take a look and let us know what you think. As always, thanks for reading (and watching and listening to) Book Riot.
