We’ve featured book-inspired handbags before here on Book Riot, but I don’t think we’ve ever shown you any quite like these.

Olympia Le-Tan The Lovely Summer embroidered clutch

These mini-masterpieces are the work of Olympia Le-Tan, a French designer who Net-a-Porter describes as “adored by the literary-loving fashion elite.” It’s not hard to see why. Each of these clutches is handmade, from the individually selected fabric to the hand-embroidered titles and the felt applique figures.

I think my favorite part is that she chose such a variety of titles; the collection scans genres, cover styles, and time periods. And how amazing are those inner linings?

If you’re anything like me, you have only one question. They’re pretty, but can you fit a book in them?

Survey says: maybe. But you won’t be able to afford any books after buying one of these babies anyway, so who cares?

What do you think of the clutches? Would you ever consider buying one?
