Today, Book Riot is excited to announce that we’ve partnered with Kobo, one of the world’s fastest-growing ereading companies.
Kobo has more than 3.5 million ebooks available that can be read on a wide-array of devices, from smartphones to tablets to ereaders to the web. So while Kobo’s own tablets and ereaders are excellent, if you want to read your ebooks on some other device, Kobo encourages that.
So here’s what you are going to see: when we write about specific titles, we’re going to link to the book’s page on Kobo. That’s pretty much it.
We’re not going to clog up posts with a bunch of links. This partnership gives our readers a way to quickly find out more about a book; it gives Kobo a chance to show off what they do, and it supports Book Riot.
Now, unlike some sites, this isn’t an affiliate deal: we don’t get a percentage of whatever someone buys after clicking through to Kobo, so don’t worry that we are pumping up a book in the hopes that you’ll buy it or anything.
If you are in the market for a new ereader or a new place to buy your ebooks, we recommend Kobo for a lot of reasons. It’s that simple. We wouldn’t be doing this otherwise.
If you’ve got questions, please feel free to ask them in the comments below.
