A Publisher, an Agent, an Author, a Bookseller, and a Blogger Walk Into a Room (x10000)

This week, many of us at Book Riot are in New York to attend Book Expo America. If you’ve not heard of it before, BEA is the publishing industry’s annual convention, where thousands of publishers, agents, authors, booksellers, journalists, bloggers, and assorted bookish folk gather to learn, network, pick up the Next Hot Books, and complain about the crazy-long line at Starbucks.

Over the next few days, you can expect to see the regular Book Riot features you know and love, in addition to news, dispatches from the show floor, and a special edition of Book Fetish. We’re cooking up all kinds of good stuff for you! Follow us on Twitter, where our contributors will be playing “pass the mic” to share their adventures, and don’t hesitate to holler back if you have questions or comments.

If you’re attending the show, keep an eye out for opportunities to win Book Riot swag, and please come say hi. We’d love to meet you!

A woman checked out a book called How to Win a Local Election. And she did. Listen to Annotated on Apple Podcasts or Google Play to hear her story.
