Book Nerd Out Giveaway: Enter to Win a $100 Gift Card

Always books. Never boring.

We think the best book sites are by book bloggers. Heck, most of Book Riot’s contributors are book bloggers. So, to show our appreciation for all that book bloggers do to advance social reading, we’re holding a little giveaway.

Here’s the deal:

We want you to write a post on your own blog about the time you went the crazy nerdiest for a book. What book was it? What did you do? Why were you so excited? Images and video (YouTube only) permitted.

We want to share it with the Book Riot community, and we will link back to all eligible entries. From the eligible entries, we will pick our 3 favorites, and post them individually on Book Riot. The one getting the most Facebook “Likes” will win. The winner will get a $100 gift card to their bookstore of choice and be given the opportunity to write an upcoming Our Reading Lives post.

To be eligible your blog (Tumblr, Blogger.com, whatever) has to be mostly about books. It’s alright if you write about cats or spaceships or Ryan Gosling’s abs every now and again, but this is for book bloggers. If you aren’t sure if you qualify, email us at community (at) bookriot (dot) com with a link to your blog, and we’ll make an official ruling.

Then, prior to 11:59PM EDT on Tuesday, November 1:

  1. Write a post on your own blog about the time you went the crazy nerdiest for a book. It can be any format, but must be less than 500 words.
  2. At the top of your entry post, include this header as the anchor text linking back to this post: This post is my entry in the Book Nerd Out giveaway hosted by Book Riot: Reviews, Recommendations, and Commentary about books and reading (but, you know, fun).
  3. Come back here and tell us you’ve done it by filling out the form at the bottom of this post.

That’s it.

We’ll post the 3 finalists on Friday, November 4 and count Facebook “Likes” through Thursday, November 10, 11:59PM EST.

Entry Form

We are no longer accepting entries. All eligible entrants will be listed in a future post.  Finalists will receive their own posts.
