On the way to the store, you promise your child that you will spend some time helping them pick out a book from the children’s section. In return, you ask him to be patient and stay near you while you look at the “grown up” books. You then spend several silent minutes in prayer, asking whomever might be listening to allow this plan to come to something resembling fruition.
