What’s On Your Readathon TBR Stack?

Rachel Manwill

Staff Writer

Rachel Manwill is an editor, writer, and professional nomad. Twice a year, she runs the #24in48 readathon, during which she does almost no reading. She's always looking for an excuse to recommend a book, whether you ask her for one or not. When she's not ranting about comma usage for her day job as a corporate editor, she's usually got an audiobook in her ears and a puppy in her lap. Blog: A Home Between Pages Twitter: @rachelmanwill

One of the best parts of a readathon is the anticipation. What are you going to snack on? Where will you be reading? How long can you convince your friends and family to leave you alone? But most importantly, what are you going to read?

And in anticipation of tomorrow’s 24-Hour Readathon, I decided to spy on a bunch of TBR stacks for this round of ‘thon-ing. In the comments, show me yours, or tell me what’s on your TBR for this Saturday’s readathon. Need some tips for creating your TBR? Check out some of our favorite one-sitting books perfect for a reading marathon.

Because I’m fair, I’ll start by showing you my stack:

As some of you might know, this weekend another edition of #deweysreadathon is taking place. I can't remember the last time I had a weekend of and now my free weekend is the same weekend as the readathon! I decided to post this photo in advance. These are some really nice and short reads, I think they'd be perfect for the readathon! Swipe right for a zoomed in photo of the books! I'm really excited to join in on my very first readathon, although I'm sick at the moment, so I really hope that'll be over next Saturday.. So you have any recommendations? And are you doing the readathon? #book #books #bookstagram #bibliophile #bookworm #booknerd #booknerdigans #bookhoarder #fiercefeatures #bookfeature #bookfeatures #bookfeatured #igreads #literature #readathon #deweys24readathon

Is anyone participating in Dewey's 24 hour readathon this month? If you havent heard of it- @DeweysReadathon is different than a traditional week or so long readathon that starts at midnight in YOUR time zone, and lasts many days– but rather we all start and end at the EXACT SAME TIME (for me it begins at 5am on April 29th and ends 5am April 30th) and we read as much as we can in a 24 hour period. There are no rules or number of books/pages you must complete, but I've heard there will be some fun hourly "challenges" posted on the Dewey's website. These are some of my short book recommendations. I find small books feel the most satisfying to read because you can complete multiple in a day. And please feel encouraged to recommend some short books in the comments!
